Lesser Bladderwort Utricularia minor
Catfield, Norfolk, 17 June
Native. Essentially a species of acidic bogs in the north and west, Lesser Bladderwort can also be found in calcium-rich but nutrient poor fens in Norfolk. It has declined greatly, however, and apparently seldom flowers, so I was very pleased to find good numbers in flower in 2008 - a very unexpected and unlooked for bonus on an otherwise dull day!
